Saturday July 13 from 10-noon.

Great program for families with children: observe, learn about draw trees and their leaves: what grows over your head, at your shoulders, knees and toes; and a special story featuring some of the smallest creatures living at the park.

We know that by highlighting the great outdoor work of educators, schools, and districts, we’ll continue to inspire leaders of change. This week, we spotlight Nature Detectives, a weekly outdoor discovery after school program for grades K-3.”

Presenting a 45 minute (in person) workshop at the California Trails and Greenways Conference in Modesto Wednesday, April 27 and Thursday, April 28. My session“Walking the Alphabet Trail and other Ways to Engage Families.” Will be presenting three new activities to increase their observational skills while having fun doing some Nature Detectives work at same time. NEW Community Science Activities! Join our Lost Ladybug Project!

Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Science Grant  (YLACES)

Nature Detectives received a grant for purchasing supplies to launch our newest project. Beginning in March 2021, we will contribute to scientific research as we look for lost ladybugs in neighborhoods, parks, gardens our backyards, open fields or anywhere else ladybugs may be found.
